How to apply for a General Visa, Working Visa

Before applying for a General Visa or Working Visa, your substitute can obtain a Certificate of Eligibility. If you apply for your visa with Certificate of Eligibility, your term waiting for would be shorter than the application without it. That is the reason that I recommend you to apply for your visa with Certificate of Eligibility.

By the way, if you can't apply with Certificate of Eligibility, you need more than three months or two months to obtain your visa.

The below show a example of procedure from applying for your Certificate of Eligibility to entering into Japan.

  1. Your substitute in Japan will apply for your Certificate of Eligibility to a Regional Immigration Bureau, and the Regional Immigration Bureau will issue your Certificate of Eligibility.
  2. Your substitute will send your Certificate of Eligibility to you.
  3. You will apply for your visa to the embassy of Japan in your country with your Certificate of Eligibility. Then the embassy will issue your visa. (When you visit a website of embassy of Japan in your country, you can download the application form usually.)
  4. At Japanese airport, you first of all have to apply to an immigration officer for landing permission. You obtain your IMMIGRATION STATUS, and then you can enter into Japan.

Befor you submit your visa to Japanese diplomatic establishment, plese check the way to apply your visa on the website of Japanse diplomatic establishment. Because, it's deference between the countrys some times.
